I read Alan Dershowitz's article "Israel, Hamas & Moral Idiocy" ( http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/1231/p09s02-coop.html ) where he points out the false moral equivalence of how each side of this conflict is viewed and the irrational basis of negotiating any agreement with Hamas.   This is true of negotiating with any Islamofascist whether they are Sunni or Shiite. It is completely moral from their perspective to lie, break agreements, and kill civilians with impunity. This Islam is a "religion of peace" & “treat People of the Book kindly" crap should be repudiated once and for all.  The next time some idiot or Islamic apologist brings this up, ask them how the concept of abrogation in Islamic theology applies to this statement?

Abrogation basically was "Allah" changing his mind about violence against the enemies of Islam.  Amazingly, this "abrogation" occurred increasingly as the followers of Mohamed gained power.  How conveeeenient!

Whether or not the majority of Muslims believe or don't believe this, they are tribal in nature and breaking  peace or agreements with someone outside of their tribe is no problem for them morally.   To win, Israel will have to utterly destroy Hamas and its sympathizers.  The people of Gaza voted overwhelmingly for Hamas, so they are not blameless.  This is not to say that the IDF should indiscriminately attack civilians.  They should not, nor will they.  Their own morality and sense of humanity would prevent this.  However, they should not stop attacking any known Hamas building, house, mosque, warehouse or government office where Hamas operatives are located.  If Hamas wants to hide behind their women and children, so be it.  Hamas has chosen this fate for them, not the Israelis.

War is cruel and I can point to some of my own ancestry to point out that cultures and tribalism can in fact be changed only through brutal means.  Two examples come to mind:  The Civil War and the brutal suppression of the Highland Scottish clans after the Jacobean revolt.  The end of the slave culture and the often treacherous clan culture required it. 

The anti-Israel crowd is composed of primarily two types. The anti-Western Civilization people who are composed of multiculturalists, hate/blame America firsters, other various leftists and finally, cowards who want to avoid conflict at all cost and get to the “root cause of the problem” make up one side.  Islamofascists who often use the first group as useful idiots are the other side. There are a few neo-Nazi fringe groups and Coughlin-Buchananites, but they are inconsequential to the debate.

These people should be shamed and discredited. There is no moral equivalence here and any attempt to make it so, should be refuted.
